Pre-loved shopping is the way to go these days, and there's no shame in that at all. With climate change and mass waste consumption that we have contributed to our planet, the best we can do is reduce, reuse and recycle. That famous mantra we were all taught in school but has merit.
Here's a few reasons why I love shopping second hand:
- The sustainability factor. Knowing that I am doing my part in reducing waste is something I am and should be proud of!
- Price and savings! Purchasing second hand items that are in good condition but also for more than half the price? Yes, please!
- Uniqueness. I love trends but I also like to add a special twist to my collection and truly make it my own. But do note that trends do come back every 20 years or so. You're welcome ;)
- It's fun! To me, it's a thrifting is a thrill and love to find that special piece that is unique and one of a kind! Kinda ties into the point noted above.
That is why I decided to offer gently used pre-loved items in my store to my lovely Sisterberry & Co. customers. Sharing the love makes the world go round, as cheesy as that sounds lol...
In closing, remember this. Memorize it. Repeat it. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. We only got one planet, one life and we gotta cherish it.
